At the beginning of the 2009/2010 scholastic year, an evaluation process was initiated with the intention of examining the structure and modus operandi of the Ladies' Circle and the Fathers' Club. These two parental entities had, for many years, served an important mission in the life and development of our College and there certainly can be nothing but gratitude and appreciation for the hard and fruitful work which these two associations and the parents in general have rendered our College since its inception.

The evaluation process was motivated by the need to re-examine the work of the two associations and to see how it can be developed and updated in order to respond to the needs of the College, the students and the parents at the present time.

Consequently, an evaluation committee was set up and a questionnaire was sent to the parents. This was duly analysed and the results were presented at a meeting which was held on Saturday 21st November 2009.

During this meeting, it was concluded that the fruitful and much appreciated work done so far can be further enhanced by amalgamating the two associations into one parental entity, with a representation from the College staff - primarily the teaching section. The decision was very well received.

A new statute was formulated, nominations for the various posts were sent and the first general meeting of the PTA was held on Saturday 6th February 2010. On this occasion the first Committee of the Parent Teacher Association was held. The elected Committee consisted of the list printed below.

The Statute provides for the establishment of various sub-committees, with varying responsibilities. Amongst others, there are the sub-committees for Spirituality, for the organization of the social and cultural activities, for the re-decoration of the College building and for the work in the kitchen.

Parents are urged to participate in the different activities being organized and to give their share in the hundred-and-one tasks that the College undertakes on a continuous basis.
